About the role

The Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for treating assigned patients, which includes obtaining accurate prescriptions and documenting according to departmental policy. They utilize various occupational therapy techniques under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

The Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for treating assigned patients including obtaining accurate prescription, reviewing charts adequately and documenting according to departmental policy.

Education & Training

Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Experience

None.

Required Certification/Registration/Licensure

Current OTA licensure by the Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy. Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Utilizes a variety of occupational therapy techniques to carry out effective treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
