  • Overview: The Outpatient Services Clinician, Licensed/ Licensed Eligible position provides out-patient substance use and mental health assessments, treatment, and when necessary, case management services to adult clients. The position facilitates or co-facilitates evening substance use treatment group(s) for adults and fulfills all the functions of a SA Group Facilitator, including verifying specimen delivery and doing urine drug screens, completing progress notes, etc.; provides mental health assessments, individual and group therapies.
  • Services provided by in this position include, but are not limited to: therapy, case documentation, consultation, education, crisis intervention, mental health counseling, and substance use counseling and educational services. This position reports directly to the Director of Clinical Services for supervision. In carrying out the assigned position responsibilities the employee is required to exercise sound judgment, communicate clearly orally and in writing, follow established policies and procedures, demonstrate problem-solving skills, ensure the safety of clients participating in program activities, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

Qualifications

Possession of a master's degree in the appropriate human services field, e.g. L.C.S.W., L.P.C., M.F.T.L., L.S.A.T.P., etc. Be licensed or licensed eligible to practice therapy in the state of VA. In addition, the employee must possess and maintain a valid Virginia Driver's license and maintain a safe driving record. Why Join RACS? Requirements

Must possess a master's degree in a human services field and be licensed or licensed eligible to practice therapy in Virginia. A valid Virginia Driver's license and a safe driving record are also required.
