Prepares each resident for the day and/or night by assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and activities of daily living
Obtains resident vital signs in accordance with departmental policy; reads and accurately records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight
Promptly and accurately documents all required resident information in the medical record
Responds to resident call lights and other types of requests for assistance in a timely manner.
Addresses resident toileting needs and incontinence issues in accordance with state and federal regulations and infection control procedures.
Provides restorative care and assists non-ambulatory residents with range of motion exercises in accordance with the care plan.
Passes fresh ice water and nourishments to residents within required time frames.
Immediately reports any unusual symptoms, changes, accidents, and/or injuries to the DON or Nursing Supervisor
Facilitate meal service for the residents: transport residents to the dining room; distribute correct meal tray to each resident; assist with feeding, as necessary; deliver meal trays to resident rooms, as required; remove trays from table, prepare and store meal trays for removal
Stocks and obtains necessary supplies and clean nursing equipment (e.g. bedpans, wheelchairs, etc.) in accordance with scheduled duties or as directed.

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and a valid State Tested Nurse Aide license or CNA Certificate. A compassionate attitude and a passion for working with the elderly are required.
