Job DetailsJob Location

Main Clinic - Lubbock, TX 79401The Advanced Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing preventive and primary care as a part of a health care team in an ambulatory setting in a particular discipline. The Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with a physician and provides care under established guidelines agreed upon by the nurse practitioner and the physician.

Duties include: Providing primary care to patients Performing initial examinations, including physical exams and patient observations Setting up and monitoring medical equipment Ordering and administering diagnostic tests Communicating test results to patients and their families Recording patient medical histories

Operating and maintaining medical equipment

QualificationsEducation: Registered nurse and successful completion of a certified post-graduate program for nurse practitioners.

Licensure

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas. BSN or advanced degree, certification and/or license in specialty. Maintains current DEA license. Current in Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (BLS).

Experience

Prefer experience but will consider new graduate.

  • Travel: Occasionally; valid Texas driver’s license and current auto insurance required; must have reliable and safe transportation.

  • Work: 8am-5pm M-F with some weekend/evening work. On-call required.
