Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital (Mass Vet) is seeking a full-time Veterinary Laboratory Attendant to join our team in Woburn, MA. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process laboratory samples while accurately entering results into the hospital information system.
  • Prepare specimens for external and specialty laboratory testing, including completing submission forms, packaging, and shipping.
  • Perform routine quality control testing and scheduled maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Accurately complete laboratory logbooks, including shipping and temperature logs.
  • Unpack, organize, and restock laboratory supplies.
  • Communicate laboratory results and updates with veterinary teams throughout the hospital.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Support high-quality patient care through accurate, timely laboratory processing.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a professional work environment.
  • One to two years of experience in a clinical or veterinary setting preferred.
  • Veterinary Technician experience is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with excellent follow-through.
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.
