Registered veterinary technician – emergency

Up to $40.00/hour (DOE) + $5.50/hour Shift Differential (6: 00 PM–6:00 AM) Full-time opportunity in Concord, California

Schedule: Sunday–Wednesday | 3:00 PM–1:00 AM | Four 10-hour shifts (Swing Shift)

As an Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician, you'll work alongside experienced emergency doctors and specialists providing advanced nursing care for critically ill and injured patients in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

In your day-To-Day, you will

Deliver exceptional nursing care for emergency and critically ill patients.

Serve as the primary nurse for emergency surgical procedures during swing shifts.

Triage emergency patients and support clients throughout their hospital experience.

Partner with veterinarians to perform patient assessments, diagnostics, treatments, and procedures.

Collect and process laboratory samples and assist with advanced diagnostic imaging.

Induce, monitor, and recover patients undergoing anesthesia and sedation.

Monitor hospitalized patients and respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.

Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.

What you bring

Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license.

Minimum of two years of emergency or clinical veterinary experience.

Strong technical skills in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, CPR, drug calculations, critical patient care, and patient handling.

Excellent communication, client service, and teamwork skills.

Ability to remain calm, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced emergency environment.

A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
