Job Title: Certified Recovery Peer Advocate
The Certified Recovery Peer Advocate’s (CRPA) role is to support others in recovery from a substance use disorder.
The CRPA serves as a role model, mentor, advocate and motivator to recovering individuals in order to help prevent relapse and promote long-term recovery.
The CRPA demonstrates an ability to share personal recovery experiences and to develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships.
The CRPA provides non-clinical support services as identified in patient’s treatment or recovery plan.
CRPAs also assist individuals the development of recovery plans, effective coping habits, and life skills for navigating recovery.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D, required.
Candidates must hold a CRPA or CRPA-P certification and a High School Diploma or GED. Required certifications include Naloxone, First Aid, and CPR, along with proficiency in electronic health records.
