The Emotional Brain Institute (EBI) is a multidisciplinary institute aimed at addressing fundamental questions in neuroscience and neuropsychiatry. We seek to hire a research technician initially for a 3 month period with a possible extension to aid in behavioral, electrophysiological, and microscopy-based experiments on animals. Some weekends are required.
The Research Assistant will help with setup of laboratory equipment, animal care, and colony management. The Research Support Assistant will perform laboratory and behavioral work with mice while assisting in gathering data for experiments. Preferred skills are experience genotyping, brain slicing, immunohistochemistry, mouse handling and IP injections, mouse behavior, stereotaxic surgeries. This is initially a 3 month position with a possible extension and requires some weekends.
