About the role

LPNs provide compassionate care to mentally ill patients by administering medications and performing patient assessments. They are responsible for accurate clinical documentation and coordinating with the professional treatment team.

At Utah State Hospital, LPN's work as part of the professional treatment team to offer compassionate care to mentally ill patients with a wide range of ages and abilities.

Some duties include: Utilize the Medication Administration Record to administer medications and treatments to patients.

Document medication administration and manage controlled substance counts during shift.

Complete patient assessments and provide patient monitoring as indicated.

Document in an accurate and timely manner.

Coordinate with the treatment team.

Follow policies and procedures while providing care.

Qualifications

Registered as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Utah. You must successfully pass a criminal history check.
