The Behavioral Health Technician assists patients with daily living activities and provides direct patient care and therapeutic interventions. They are responsible for observing patient behavior, reporting changes to nursing staff, and providing crisis intervention to maintain safety.

How you’ll contribute
Assists patients with performing activities of daily living.
Provides or assists with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.
Observes and records patient behavior and activities. Reports any changes in physical, mental or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggests modifications to the treatment plan.
Provides crisis intervention with incoming calls and on the unit to maintain safety.
What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional requirements include:
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
Current American Heart Association BLS certificate or obtained within 45 days of hire.
Handle with Care (HWC) must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
Schedule: 3x12, Nights (7p-7a), rotating weekends

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and obtain BLS and Handle with Care certifications within 45 days of hire. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
