About the role

You will assist in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on individual behaviors and conditions under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The role involves providing rapid assessment and stabilization for children in an inpatient setting.

The Child Unit is a 20-bed unit that provides rapid assessment and stabilization for children ages 5 to 11 for whom inpatient care is appropriate for safety and structure due to severity of condition and for safe medical management.

This is a full-time position working 7pm - 7

30 am and every other weekend.

What to expect.

Under the close supervision of a licensed nurse, you will play an essential role in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on individual behaviors and conditions.

To prepare for the responsibilities of this role, you will begin extended clinical orientation and training immediately following your first day of employment through Sheppard Pratt’s Clinical Education Department.

The pay range for this position is $19.36 minimum to $28.70 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

High school diploma or GED.

An advanced degree in a human services field is strongly preferred, either in progress or already obtained.

Past direct care or related experience is strongly preferred.

For most positions, much be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

Requirements

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, with an advanced degree in a human services field strongly preferred. Previous direct care or related experience is also highly desired for this position.
