Job Summary Phlebotomist Overview

Aptive Resources, in partnership with Valor Healthcare, is hiring a Phlebotomist to perform specimen collection for Veterans at the proposed Yreka, CA CBOC, pending VA contract award.

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm (Clinic Operating Hours); 8:00am–4:30pm Patient Schedule Hours Primary Responsibilities Responsible for drawing blood and preparing samples for transport Operate under the oversight of the VA laboratory for phlebotomy performed at the site

Minimum Qualifications

Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT-1) certification via NHA (accredited program, ≥30 venipunctures and 10 capillary sticks, exam required) Current BLS certification Demonstrated competency in venipuncture, specimen labeling, infection control, and safe sample transport Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license/certification (as applicable to the position) in California, or otherwise meet VA Qualification Standards for the position. Must successfully complete VA credentialing/privileging review and a background investigation (cleared through OPM via the VA Security and Investigations Center) prior to starting work; PIV credentialing required. Must complete required VA mandatory training and maintain current licensure/certification documentation annually. About Aptive About Aptive.
