About the role

The Mental Health Therapist provides assessments and psychosocial services to adults and older adults with serious mental illness or co-occurring substance abuse. The role involves delivering support and assistance within a community-based behavioral health program.

Gardner Health Services is currently recruiting to fill three (3) Mental Health Therapist I positions.

These are full-time, 40 hour/week positions in the Adult/Older Adult Program in the Behavioral Health Department located at 160 E.

Virginia St.

San Jose, CA 95112.

Under general supervision of the Program Supervisor, the Mental Health Therapist provides assessments and related psycho social services to adults.

The Adult/Older Adult Program provides support and assistance to Adults/Older Adults with serious mental illness or co-occurring substance abuse and mental illness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong educational or professional background focused on providing mental health care in a community setting.

Minimum Qualifications

  • The minimum qualifications of this position is listed below. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • MHT I- Must be registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) with proper proof of registration and have obtained an effective Waiver of Licensure from the Santa Clara Department of Mental Health.
  • Bilingual/Bicultural preferred.

Compensation

Compensation and level of position placement will be determined based on relevant experience and education.

MHT I

$83,605.54 - $96,921.74/Annually
