We are a 24/7 Emergency Care Veterinary Hospital with 7 different Specialties.

The AESC Team is growing, and we are seeking motivated, positive and compassionate individuals to join our team.

Job Description

Emergency Assistants play a vital support role in providing urgent and intensive care to animals in critical conditions under the supervision of veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians.

Responsibilities

Prepare exam rooms for each visit, including tools needed for each exam. Retrieve patient charts from client services or referring department on behalf of the technicians when asked. Obtain other vitals, lab work, and diagnostics as needed per doctors or technician orders. Perform and assist with all aspects of animal restraint for exams and procedures. Care for hospitalized patients - administer medications, monitor vital signs, other duties as ordered by the treating veterinarian or treating ER technician Clean kennels, runs, wet tables and all other areas of the treatment area and hospital as needed. Assist in Ultrasound if needed. Laundry Basic grooming as needed. Other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: At least ONE YEAR of veterinary assistant experience is REQUIRED to be considered for this role! High school diploma or equivalent. Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!

Two years of experience as a veterinary assistant with job responsibilities that required animal restraint and taking radiographs Experience in a emergency/specialty setting Knowledge of EasyVet or similar medical record systems.
