About the role

The therapist provides comprehensive behavioral health services to adults and families, including performing psychosocial assessments and conducting individual, family, and group counseling. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate clinical documentation and collaborating with other providers to meet client needs.

Swope Health is seeking a compassionate and mission-driven Outpatient Adult Therapist for our Behavioral health department, you will be apart of a team of caregivers to provide care for the people who need it the mos. Our Therapist is responsible for providing therapy services to adults 18 years of age and their families. The Therapist performs psychosocial assessments to address behavioral and mental health symptoms. Primary Functions

Perform intake assessments, 6 month assessments, and annuals. Which include the completion of the initial intake assessments, mental status assessments, medical assessments, and C-Trac form.

Completion of chart documentation reviews that include the Psychosocial History, Treatment Planning, Chart Progress Notes, Quarterly Reviews, and Discharge Summaries.

Perform individual, family and group counseling utilizing approved treatment approaches as sanctioned by the Swope Behavioral Health Department.

Collabrate with other providers and/or programs to the best meets clients needs.

Accurately report billing documentation consistent with the requirements of the particular payer or contract, i.e. Missouri Department of Mental Health, Missouri Department of Social Services, private insurance, Manage Care contract, Mental Health Levy, etc.

Meet expected productivity standards.

Participate in Continuous Performance Improvement activities as required by the Corporation.

Must possess and demonstrate expertise in the area of diagnostic formulation as it relates to the most current DSM.

Available to assist in mental health crisis situations if the need arises.

Must complete Patient Safety Training curriculum.

Successful Candidate will have

Master's Degree in either Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling and a license in the State of Missouri. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), (PLPC) or (LMSW).

At least two (2) years of counseling experience.

Applicants should be comfortable with providing telehealth services.

Working knowledge of the DSM- 5 and the ability to assess mental health disorders

Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and technology

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling and possess a valid Missouri license (LPC, LCSW, PLPC, or LMSW). A minimum of two years of counseling experience and proficiency in teletherapy platforms are required.
