About the role

The Medical Assistant serves as the primary clinical contact, documenting patient history and symptoms in the EMR while recording vital signs. They are responsible for performing diagnostic tests, drawing blood, administering medications, and maintaining a sterile exam environment.

Become a part of our caring community As a Medical Assistant, you’ll be a vital link between our patients and providers, often the first clinical contact patients have during their visit. Working onsite in a fast-paced clinical environment and reporting to the Center Administrator, you’ll bring together clinical skills and administrative support to help deliver excellent patient care. What You’ll Do You will document patient symptoms and history in the EMR You will take and record accurate vital signs You will administer injections and medications You will perform diagnostic tests You will collect specimens and draw blood You will sterilize equipment and maintain a clean, well-organized exam room What You Bring Completion of an accredited MA training program, Certified/Registered Medical Assistant credential, or 5+ years of relevant experience with Provider approval 1+ years of Medical Assistant experience Phlebotomy experience Experience administering medication and vaccines Current CPR Certification Nice to Have Active MA certification or Registration Value-based Care experience including familiarity with HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS patient experience Bilingual in English and Spanish Work Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00 to 5:00 Location: Onsite at CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 2381 E Windmill Lane, Suite 14, Las Vegas, NV 89123 This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed an accredited MA program or possess a CMA/RMA credential, with at least one year of experience and current CPR certification. Phlebotomy and medication administration experience are required, while bilingual skills and value-based care knowledge are preferred.
