About the role

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care by conducting patient assessments and managing patient loads in an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include ordering diagnostic tests, developing care plans, and collaborating with a medical team.

Opportunity Details Capital Medical Group is seeking a dedicated NP to join the Primary Care team. You will work closely with physicians to provide comprehensive care for patients with various primary care conditions. Responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, follow up appointments, as well as manage patient load. Job Summary: Participates in team-focused patient care by means of patient examinations augmented by diagnostic and therapeutic evaluations/interventions in the outpatient clinic environment. The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization, with department-specific credentialing from the institution. What You'll Do:As a valued member of our healthcare team, the PA/NP will play a key role in team-focused patient care, conducting thorough examinations and evaluations in a clinical setting. Responsibilities includ1. Using medical decision-making skills to determine an appropriate patient care plan.2. Collaborates with the medical team when needed for effective team-based care.3. Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.4. Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines.5. Potential for and encouraged to precept students and/or medical learners.6. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements:

Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program, Master's degree or higher required

Current District of Columbia Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license

Board certified as a Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC

Current American Heart Association or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to start.

Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration, for prescription writing is required to start.What We Have to Offer:

Competitive Compensation: Guaranteed Base Salary with Annual Bonus Incentives.

CME Reimbursement: Receive up to $1,500 per fiscal year.

Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM

Generous PTO: 20 days/year, to be used for vacations, sickness, and personal matters.

Requirements
