We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our NEPA GYN care center in Pittston, PA.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) professional engages Axia Women’s Health patients either directly or by telephone, assisting with patient triage, recording critical patient information, and providing information to patients so that they may fully benefit from our clinical services.
Utilizes established triage protocols and guidelines to evaluate and assess patient’s/caller’s health care needs based on signs, symptoms, complaints, and lab results.
Obtains appropriate input and direction from care center RNs or providers, as needed, to determine and recommend the best clinical course of action for specific patient’s/caller’s health care.
Accurately documents patients’/callers’ signs, symptoms, complaints, nursing assessments, provided advice, and responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Pulls lab and imaging results, adds them to the EMR, and consults with physicians or RNs regarding test results as needed.
Assists with medication refill requests following provider-approved protocols and under appropriate supervision.
Performs phlebotomy (where permitted by state regulations and facility policies).
Provides patient education on prescribed follow-ups, medications, and therapies, and reinforces provider-directed instructions.
Assists, as needed, with phone triage under RN or provider supervision.
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Candidates must have a degree from an accredited nursing program, an active state LPN license, and CPR certification. A minimum of one year of recent LPN experience in a medical facility, preferably in OB/GYN, is required.
