About the role

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field and assisting surgeons during operations. They ensure all instruments are accounted for and sterilized according to established protocols.

Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in surgical operations, ensuring that the operating room is safe, sterile, and well-equipped. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.

Assist surgeons and other medical staff during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies.

Ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures.

Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.

Monitor patient vital signs and assist in patient positioning as needed.

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.

Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and inventory of supplies.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Surgical Technician
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic life support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Required.
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance.
