Overview MRI Technologist (Radiology) – MRI specialty, Needham, Massachusetts.

This travel assignment in a hospital setting begins 08/10/2026 and runs for 13 weeks.

Weekly pay ranges from $2,739 to $2,886 per week, with 72 guaranteed hours biweekly (excluding on-call time).

Shifts are rotating 8-hour blocks covering Day and Evening.

The role focuses on independent MRI imaging within an acute care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality MRI examinations across a range of protocols, following orders and departmental guidelines
  • Screen patients for MRI safety, obtain informed consent when required, and position patients with appropriate coils to optimize image quality
  • Verify orders, document procedures, and ensure accurate labeling and transfer of images to the radiology team
  • Monitor patients during scanning, manage patient comfort and safety, and address any adverse reactions or claustrophobia concerns
  • Maintain MRI equipment readiness, conduct basic quality control checks, troubleshoot issues, and report malfunctions to the engineering team

Requirements

  • ARRT Certification in MRI required; BLS through AHA required
  • Minimum 2 years of independent MRI experience in an acute care facility
  • Ability to work rotating 8-hour Day/Eve shifts in a hospital radiology environment
  • Active MRI credential and ability to work in a travel assignment in Needham, MA
  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices, patient positioning, and protocol optimization
