Responsibilities

  • Prepare and scrub in for electrophysiology (EP) procedures, assisting EP physicians and nursing staff in the EP lab.
  • Support implantable device procedures (pacemakers such as PPM, ICD, Micra) and ablative therapies (Afib, Aflut, WPW, SVT, VT, PVC) as part of the EP team.
  • Assist with Watchman procedures, laser lead extractions, and related EP interventions; manage sterile technique and instrument handling.
  • Operate and troubleshoot EP lab equipment and mapping systems; ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC); monitor patient status during and after procedures.
  • Coordinate case preparation, post-procedure care, and turnover to maintain EP lab efficiency; collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other staff to support timely case completion.

Requirements

  • Certification/Licensure: ARRT or RCIS or RCES; ACLS and BLS
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of EP (electrophysiology) experience; familiarity with pacemakers (PPM, ICD, Micra), ablations (Afib, Aflut, WPW, SVT, VT, PVC), and Watchman devices; experience with laser lead extractions and stimming (Bloom) is preferred
  • Additional eligibility: Cath/IR and EP experience preferred; RNs with Cath/IR/EP scrub experience may be considered
  • Work environment: ability to work in an EP lab setting and support complex procedures
