Perform professional independent nursing practice in the Emergency Department, including assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care. Coordinate with providers to carry out medical orders and maintain a safe therapeutic environment for patients and families.
As an RN – ED you will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice at Lakeview Hospital; to provide work direction for and oversight of the nursing care provided by unlicensed personnel; to perform and document functions such as carrying out the provider’s medical orders; to assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.

Requires an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing, a valid RN license, and at least one year of ED RN experience. Must hold or obtain certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS within specified timeframes.
