Interaction with Other Departments and Other Relationships
This role will interact closely various departments and committees within the hospital
Work is demanding and requires ability to push, pull, and lift, up to 50 pounds. Requires lots of walking and extended periods of time standing and/or sitting. Effective communication with physicians and OR staff is critical. Near visual acuity required to work with documentation, instrument gauges, dials, and equipment indicators
This position is subject to varying indoor temperature changes. Work done intraoperative is performed in a high- risk area for exposure to blood borne pathogens and other biowaste hazards. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and be a graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program. Required certifications include CST, TS-C, or CFA, and BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
