The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating and treating residents with speech, language, and swallowing problems. They also provide clinical supervision to students and conduct in-service training for staff and families.

Evaluate all residents with speech/language/swallowing problems.
Submit written report of the results of the evaluation.
Provide speech/language/swallowing therapy.
Maintain statistical record of the residents’ attendance at the therapy sessions.
Provide teaching and clinical supervision to students of peech/language/pathology.
Provide in-service training to nursing staff members, families and staff.
Attend staff conferences on resident care.
Attend all department meetings, in-services, as requested family conferences.
