The Occupational Therapist conducts comprehensive in-home functional assessments for elders and adults with disabilities to determine eligibility for the PCA Program. They develop person-centered service plans and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote consumer independence and safety.
Currently licensed by the Massachusetts Division of Registration in Allied Health Professions and in good standing with the Division of Registration and currently certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, in good standing. Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy Relevant experience over 1 year up to and including 3 years preferred Prior experience with community screenings preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Core Competencies: Must be able to read and write English Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Knowledge of community resources Ability to work with persons with diverse backgrounds, skills and abilities Experience working with elders and or disabled individuals is helpful Familiarity with and ability to locate area streets and medical facilities Excellent problem-solving skills Familiarity with using a computer database to perform required documentation Accurate record keeping skills Good time management and organizational skills Ability to work under pressure, with multiple interruptions and meet deadlines Bilingual ability in Spanish or Khmer a plus Compensation: $100 per assessment
Candidates must hold a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy and be licensed by the Massachusetts Division of Registration and the NBCOT. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, with 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
