Responsibilities

  • Perform 2D/3D transthoracic echocardiography with Color Doppler imaging; obtain, quantify, and document studies
  • Conduct transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and stress echocardiography (treadmill and pharmacologic) as required
  • Perform bubble studies and contrast imaging; proficient in starting IVs for contrast administration
  • Complete basic echo measurements (LV volumes/strain, diastology, PISA/Simpson’s rule) and ensure accurate, reproducible results
  • Document findings in the charting system (Epic) and coordinate with PACS vendors for image storage and review
  • Maintain patient safety and comfort, adhere to quality and infection-control standards, and collaborate with the cardiology team

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year echo/related experience
  • Certifications: BLS; ARDMS; CCI RCS (as listed)
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D echocardiography, Color Doppler, TEE, stress echo, bubble studies; able to start IVs for contrast
  • Epic charting experience; familiarity with PACS and common vendors
  • Must have a vehicle for this assignment
  • Ability to work in a hospital-based echocardiography setting as a traveling professional
