Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nutritional care to patients identified with nutritional risk criteria.
  • Perform patient assessments and reassessments; develop and adjust nutrition plans of care.
  • Educate patients and families on nutrition therapy, diet modifications, and discharge planning.
  • Document all interventions in the medical record per policy and professional standards.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care rounds and collaborate with the care team to support optimal nutrition outcomes.
  • Ensure care is delivered in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner, adhering to policy and standards.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Dietitian license in California (RD)
  • Experience in clinical nutrition with inpatient or acute care exposure preferred
  • Ability to perform nutrition assessments, develop care plans, and document interventions
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field (or equivalent) as a foundation for RD practice
  • Commitment to credentialing, compliance, and practice standards for clinical nutrition
