Responsibilities

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care for neonatal patients using established standards and the nursing process.
  • Monitor neonatal status, administer medications and treatments, and document findings; escalate concerns per policy.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of available nursing staff across assigned units; collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans; plan for discharge in collaboration with families and care team.
  • Provide education and information to patients’ families and the treatment team; promote a safe, healing environment.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of practice (California) or as required by the state of assignment
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification from an approved vendor required
  • Minimum two years of recent experience in the field
  • BSN preferred
  • Ability to work in a NICU environment and participate in a 13-week travel assignment
