Overview Cardiovascular Technologist – OR CVOR Tech required for a travel assignment in a short-term acute care setting.

22–26 weeks with a flexible end date.

Shift

4x9 hour days (Flex).

Weekly pay: $1,358–$1,457 per week.

Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. This position involves OR scrub responsibilities, call rotations, and collaboration with the medical/nursing teams to support safe patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the scrub technician in surgical procedures, preparing instrument sets and supplies based on procedure needs and patient history, while maintaining a sterile field per AORN standards.
  • Assist the surgical team by selecting and arranging equipment and supplies, assisting with patient draping, and supporting sterile technique throughout procedures.
  • Accurately draw up medications with proper labeling and participate in counts of all items on the sterile field as required.
  • Operate and handle specialized OR equipment as directed, ensuring patient safety and compliance with infection control practices.
  • Provide mentorship to newer staff and contribute to a safe, clean, and compliant surgical environment; address breaches in sterile technique promptly and appropriately.

Requirements

  • Active OR Tech licensure/certification required
  • BLS certification (AHA or RQI) required
  • Minimum 1 year of OR CVOR Tech experience
  • Ability to work in a high-demand OR setting and maintain aseptic technique per AORN standards
  • Availability to participate in call rotations and the 4x9 hour shift schedule
  • Eligibility to work in the listed location as part of a travel assignment
