About the role

Collect venous, arterial, and capillary blood specimens for laboratory analysis. Support the laboratory technical staff by ensuring accurate specimen collection.

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to work in our Laboratory.

The incumbent is to collect venous, arterial and capillary blood specimens for analysis by the laboratory technical staff.

Qualifications

  • Junior College/Technical School strongly preferred.
  • At least 6-months experience as a Phlebotomist or certification from an accredited phlebotomy program required
  • CPR Certification required
  • ABG Certification required
  • Score of 75% or greater on Medical Terminology exam required
  • National Phlebotomy Certification preferred

Requirements

Requires at least 6 months of experience or certification from an accredited phlebotomy program. Must hold CPR and ABG certifications and pass a medical terminology exam.
