Perform prescription management tasks under the direction of licensed healthcare providers and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and NYSDOH regulations while engaging in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives.
Description 1.
Perform tasks and responsibilities within the framework of prescription management under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician, dentist or other licensed health care provider legally authorized under this title and in accordance with the commissioner’s regulations.
2.
Participate in quality improvement, in-service workshops, continuing education and peer review as is requested by management and supervision.
3.
Comply with all OSHA regulations, CLIA, NYSDOH, Quality & NOCHSI policies and procedures.
4.
Engage in Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives, including participating as part of the Clinical Care Team.
5.
Other duties and responsibilities as requested by management and/or supervisor.
*This position has the option to be hybrid, once training is completed.
Graduate of a certified Practical Nursing program, with a New York State license to practice practical nursing; or Certification as a Pharmacy Technician Must possess a willingness to accept direction from providers and supervisors Must possess the ability to work well and with compassion in stressful situation Must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with both patients and co-workers Must be keenly aware of the importance of confidentiality in all aspects of the position.
