This is a travel temporary assignment managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The position supports interventional radiology procedures within a cardiovascular imaging context, with an emphasis on high-quality imaging and patient care in a hospice-focused home health environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, assist with, and complete Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and interventional procedures in a cardiovascular lab.
  • Operate fluoroscopy and radiographic equipment to produce digital images of the heart and vascular system; ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Position, immobilize, and prepare patients for examinations; follow established protocols and assist physicians during procedures, including specialized studies.
  • Provide clinical care with a high level of technical skill and organizational ability; monitor patient condition, contrast administration, and radiation safety throughout procedures.
  • Mentor, train, and provide input on staff skills; contribute to hiring/promotion discussions as appropriate.
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate image records; collaborate with the care team to support patient-centered outcomes.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements; demonstrate professionalism and effective critical thinking in a high-acuity setting.
  • EPIC documentation experience is preferred; familiarity with the workflow within the EPIC system is advantageous.

Requirements

  • Active Radiologic Technologist license (RT) in the state of practice; California license required
  • ARRT certification: preferred
  • Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification or credential: required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification: required
  • At least two years of recent experience in interventional radiology or a related field
  • Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting and to meet the demands of travel assignments
  • PVMB/TEAM/CPI or equivalent violence prevention/management training: required
  • Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or related field preferred
  • Must have recent EPIC experience within the last 12 months (preferred for this assignment)
