Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care for assigned patients under the supervision of an RN or MD, following standard policies and nursing process.
  • Conduct admission assessments and ongoing re-assessments; contribute to a prioritized interdisciplinary care plan.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses; perform clinical procedures (phlebotomy, injections, drug screens) as assigned.
  • Restock and order supplies within established par levels; maintain aseptic technique for dressings and related care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment in assigned areas (including Pre-op, PACU, and adjacent spaces) and participate in routine department cleaning per schedule.
  • Support patient and family teaching, discharge planning, and effective communication with the care team; document care and reporting accurately.

Requirements

  • Current LVN license in California
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • At least two years of recent experience in the field
  • Education: High School diploma or GED (preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience)
  • Ability to work in a hospital setting; EPIC and Cerner experience preferred for certain assignments
