The Radiation Therapist is responsible for setting up and aligning patients using imaging techniques to deliver prescribed radiation treatments. They manage treatment delivery workflows, perform CT simulations, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety.

Overview Radiation Therapist (Radiation Therapy Tech) is needed for a travel, temporary assignment in Greenbrae, California. This 13-week opening starts on 08/10/2026 within a Short Term Acute Care setting's Radiation Oncology department. You’ll work a 5x8 hour day shift with typical start times around 0700–0800 and guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Weekly pay is $2,651–$2,665.

Responsibilities

  • Properly set up and align patients using imaging techniques to deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments
  • Prepare for treatment delivery, including chart/film checks, room setup, calculations, MOSAIQ checks, and treatment calendar management
  • Perform patient setup and CT simulation for treatment planning as needed
  • Assess patient status during direct interaction and refer to appropriate health care team members
  • Work closely with other radiation therapists and department staff to perform tasks as needed
  • Maintain safety and equipment readiness, documenting treatment delivery per protocol and supporting planning workflows (including Varian TrueBeam and MOSAIQ when applicable)

Requirements

  • Active ARRT certification and valid California RTT license
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years of Radiation Oncology experience
  • Experience with Varian TrueBeam and MOSAIQ is preferred
  • Ability to work a 5x8 day shift with typical start times around 0700–0800
