Position: Registered Nurse Fertility-Full Time
Location: Oradell, NJ; occasional in Livingston, NJ
Mon/Wed/Fri 6am to 4pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays 8am to 1pm (We need flexibility to start earlier than 8am on Tuesday and Thursday should a procedure time start earlier than anticipated)
The RN Generalist-Fertility is responsible for the coordination of patient care and is an important participant in policy and procedure implementations as they relate to medical services for nursing staff, both in person and via telephone. Duties include chaperoning patient care during early morning monitoring hours, patient education, processing medications, assisting with pre-op and post-op, patient instructions.

cover the PACU pre-op and post-op care as well as cross cover cases in the OR (egg retrievals, embryo transfers, hysteroscopies and D&Cs)

advocate for patients and function as middle support between providers and patients
Follows established triage protocols and guidelines to evaluate and assess patient healthcare needs based on signs and symptoms.
Accurately documents signs/vitals, symptoms, and complaints, nursing assessment, provided advice, and patient response into the EMR.
Pulls labs/imaging results and adds to the EMR and consults with physicians on all results of testing.
Obtains appropriate input and direction from Axia provider, as needed, to determine the best clinical course of action and recommendations for specific patient care.
Educates patients and families about prescribed follow ups, medications, therapies, and teaches self-injection techniques as needed.
Follows policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistency and departmental effectiveness as well as to improve healthcare outcomes of patients.
Assist, as needed, with phone triage.
Assists with medication refill requests.
Performs phlebotomy.
$36 to $45 The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
