Responsibilities

  • Provide direct, patient-centered care for adult medical-surgical and trauma patients on a high-acuity floor
  • Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects and evolving conditions
  • Perform ongoing assessments, document findings in EPIC EMR, and adjust care plans as needed
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and participate in patient handoffs from ED and admitting units
  • Maintain safety, infection prevention, and quality of care; manage patient and family education
  • Support discharge planning and coordinate with ancillary services to optimize patient throughput

Requirements

  • Active Georgia registered nurse license (RN)
  • Graduation from an approved nursing program (associate or bachelor’s degree)
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/high-acuity specialty experience
  • BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Ability to work on a high-acuity surgical/trauma floor; no time-off requests (no RTO) accepted during assignment
