Responsibilities

  • Perform transthoracic echocardiography and related cardiac imaging (2D, Doppler, M-mode) with high-quality, clinically interpretable images.
  • Prepare patients, review relevant history, explain the procedure, and monitor patient safety during imaging.
  • Optimize scanner settings, acquire standard views, and ensure studies meet departmental quality standards.
  • Document findings, assist cardiologists with interpretation as needed, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment, perform routine QC, and adhere to safety, infection control, and radiology protocols.
  • Collaborate with the cardiology team to support patient care and workflow within the imaging department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac sonography / echocardiography within the specialty.
  • An appropriate credential in echocardiography: RDCS (ARDMS), or RCS or RCCS (CCI), or ACS (CCI).
  • Additional credential in one of the following: RVT (ARDMS), RVS (CCI), or RS (ARRT).
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Ability to work in a hospital environment and participate in a travel assignment.
  • Current work authorization to work in the United States.
