Weekly pay: $1,937-$2,080 per week.

Guaranteed hours: 36 per week.

Shift

Day shift, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM on a 3x12-hour schedule in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. This assignment emphasizes autonomous practice with supervision as delegated and requires EPIC EMR use.

Responsibilities

  • Administer respiratory therapies (aerosol, oxygen, humidification) and monitor response per physician orders; adjust as indicated by policies.
  • Provide care for adult and geriatric patients, including those requiring ventilatory support; manage and document care in the electronic medical record.
  • Draw arterial blood gases per policy and orders; collaborate with physicians and the care team for therapy adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, perform daily rounds, and contribute to department record keeping and charges processing.
  • Assist in training and supervision of new staff when delegated; participate in department operations and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (NBRC-CRT) credential; Respiratory Care Practitioner license (CA) as required; BLS; ACLS (required); NRP (preferred); PALS (preferred); AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS (required).
  • Experience: At least two years of recent experience in respiratory care; Epic EMR experience is required.
  • Additional: Current nursing license per state of assignment; ability to work the listed day shift and be adaptive to a fast-paced environment.
