Mental Health Worker - Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) - Psychiatry/Medicine - 11N - Evenings Be the eyes and ears of our expert clinical team as a Mental Health Worker. In this role, you'll observe and document patients' physical, emotional and social behavior, reporting as necessary to the nursing team. Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients, expertly intervening in times of anxiousness and assisting them with their daily activities for the ECT services and 11North. Record vital signs and other important clinical information, as an important resource for the multidisciplinary team. Many of our Mental Health Workers go on to become leaders in Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy and other areas. Perform total care on patients as needed. • Friday 3:30 pm - 12:00 am including weekend (Sat & Sun) coverage at NewYork Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Preferred Criteria

Minimum of one year experience in psychiatry or related field Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a nursing support position A College education Required Criteria A high school diploma Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association Strong communication skill and demonstrated commitment to continued learning Successful completion of orientation Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
