As a Medical Assistant, you’ll play a key role in patient care and clinical operations, ensuring that every patient receives respectful, high-quality service. Your responsibilities will include:
Clinical support
Room patients, record vitals, conduct screenings, and reconcile charts.
Assist clinicians during exams and procedures.
Draw blood, perform point-of-care testing, and process lab specimens.
Administer vaccines, injections, and medications; provide patient education on their use.
Perform EKGs, ear lavage, and other ordered procedures.
Maintain sterilization of instruments and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized.
Monitor and document vaccine supply and equipment quality assurance.
Chaperone sensitive exams as requested.
Administrative & care coordination
Support providers with prescription refills and pharmacy communications.
Conduct outreach via phone, portal, or mail for follow-up care, lab results, and preventive screenings.
Track and manage lab/radiology orders and overdue appointments.
Accurately maintain patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Support policy development, quality improvement, and compliance initiatives.
Collaboration & communication
Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless, compassionate care.
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
Contribute to a positive, mission-focused environment.
