About the role

The Diagnostic Radiographer is responsible for producing diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by radiologists. The role involves providing direct patient care within the Imaging Services Department.

MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry. We are proud to share our strong tradition of excellence, progress and solid economic performance. Founded more than 75 years ago as a community hospital, today we operate three clinics, 24/7 emergency services, inpatient and outpatient medical/surgical services. We have invested millions in facility upgrades just in the last few years. With more than 225 employees and average tenure of eight years, our growth continues with multiple expansion projects currently underway. We are an affiliate of MercyOne. About The Job: The Diagnostic Radiographer will provide patient care by producing diagnostic radiographs for interpretation by the radiologists in the Imaging Services Department at Mitchell County Regional Health Center. The Position: 1.0 FTE 80 hours per pay period.

Pay

Starts at $30.00, increases with experience.

Shift

Sunday-Saturday, Weekends, and Holidays. All shifts - required experience in General X-Ray, CT, Mammo - would also include rotation of call hours.

Position

Qualifications:

Education: Shall be credentialed in Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry-eligible.

Experience

  • No experience is required. Special Skills, Competencies, and Aptitudes Must possess a current Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) Permit to Practice in Radiology. Must be flexible for the staffing of all shifts, weekends, holidays, and call duties. Must provide proof of Basic Life Support-American Heart Association (BLS Healthcare Provider) prior to employment and continue to maintain current certification in BLS. Complete Mandatory Reporting requirement within 90 days of hire. Renew Mandatory Reporting requirements every 5 years.

Requirements

Candidates must be ARRT credentialed or registry-eligible and possess a current Iowa Department of Public Health Permit to Practice in Radiology. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required prior to employment.
