Responsibilities

  • Scrub in for Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures; assist the physician during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Plan and prepare heart catheters; position and pre‑prep patients; set up and operate X-ray equipment for procedures.
  • Evaluate images to ensure density, contrast, detail, and anatomic structures support diagnostic interpretation.
  • Perform special procedures radiography following department procedures; maintain a clean, orderly procedural area and restock supplies.
  • Report unusual reactions or conditions to the nurse; communicate with the team to ensure patient safety.
  • Rotate among shifts or departments as needed to support staffing and patient care needs.
  • Ensure equipment and materials are ready for the next patient; assist with procedural turnover.

Requirements

  • Current New Hampshire ARRT license (active) required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
  • Completion of a radiologic technology certificate or degree program.
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience; must be able to take call.
  • Competencies include Balloon Pump and Impella.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hospital setting and collaborate with the cardiac care team.
