Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct nursing care to adult patients in PCU/IMCU, including cardiac conditions such as STEMI and NSTEMI
  • Monitor telemetry and hemodynamic status; administer cardiac medications and infusions per orders (e.g., Milrinone, Dobutamine, vasopressors)
  • Respond to acute changes in patient condition; collaborate with the cardiac care team to implement interventions
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, manage IV therapy, wound care, and support patient mobility and safety
  • Document in the electronic medical record; communicate effectively during shift handoffs and with the care team
  • Maintain an appropriate nurse-to-patient ratio (approximately 1:3 to 4) and support telemetry beds as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license in Georgia (or eligibility)
  • Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMCU experience in a facility with similar size (28 beds)
  • Documented PCU experience in work history
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Cardiac care experience including STEMI, NSTEMI, CTS, CP; comfortable managing cardiac drips
  • Ability to work in a high-acuity, telemetry-capable unit
  • Education
  • Graduate of an approved RN program; RN licensure in good standing
