Akicita Federal is hiring Emergency Medicine Physicians to deliver critical emergency care to our nation's Veterans through the VA Central California Health Care System in Fresno, CA. You will work as a key provider in a Trauma Level II emergency department, diagnosing and treating a high-acuity patient population with complex medical needs.
Provide comprehensive emergency medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to Veteran patients presenting to a Trauma Level II emergency department
Manage acute and critical care cases across a broad spectrum of emergent conditions, from trauma and cardiac emergencies to medical crises
Perform emergency procedures appropriate to the scope of emergency medicine practice in a high-volume facility
Document clinical encounters accurately and in a timely manner within the VA's electronic health record system
Coordinate with inpatient teams, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless transitions of care and appropriate dispositions
Participate in the full range of ED operational activities including triage support, supervision of mid-level providers where applicable, and adherence to VA clinical protocols
Contribute to a patient-centered care environment aligned with the VA's mission to serve Veterans with the highest standard of medical excellence
Day, night, swing / 12 hour or 8 hour shifts available - 114 Inpatient Beds
