Akicita Federal is hiring Primary Care Physicians to deliver comprehensive outpatient medical care to our nation's Veterans through the VA Providence Health Care System's Hyannis Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Hyannis, MA. This is an opportunity to make a direct, meaningful impact on Veteran health outcomes in a community clinical setting, with two full-time positions available beginning September 2026.
Provide primary and preventive care services to a panel of Veteran patients at the Hyannis CBOC, managing acute and chronic conditions across the full spectrum of adult medicine
Diagnose, treat, and develop individualized care plans in accordance with VA clinical guidelines and evidence-based medicine standards
Coordinate referrals and care transitions to specialty services, behavioral health, and community providers as clinically appropriate
Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly within the VA's electronic health record system in a timely manner
Participate in patient care huddles, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives alongside nursing, social work, and administrative staff
Communicate proactively with patients regarding test results, medication management, and follow-up care plans
Adhere to all VA patient privacy, information security, and data handling policies when accessing or managing Veteran health information
M-F; 8a-4:30p; No weekends, no holidays.
