About the role

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and clerical support to ensure a safe and organized environment. They assist nursing staff with daily operations, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to patient needs.

Description

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing direct patient care and clerical support to ensure a safe, organized, and patient-centered environment at Amery Hospital & Clinic. CNAs support the mission, vision, guiding principles, and standards of behavior of AHC while assisting nursing staff with patient care activities, coordinating services, and responding promptly to patient needs. CNAs provide a wide range of services including patient assistance, vital sign monitoring, documentation, unit organization, customer reception, and support of daily nursing operations. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support high-quality patient care and satisfaction.

Work Schedule

  • 0.65 FTE / 26 hours weekly with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation based on department policy.
  • Mid shift hours: 8a-8:30p

Required Qualifications • Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent and further healthcare coursework.
  • CNA certification required
  • BLS certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years CNA experience preferred

Requirements

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and hold current CNA and BLS certifications. Three years of prior CNA experience is preferred for this role.
