The Resident Assistant provides direct care services to residents in an assisted living environment, including assistance with daily living activities. They are also responsible for maintaining accurate care records and ensuring a safe, positive environment for residents and visitors.
The primary responsibility of the Resident Assistant is to provide resident care services, as scheduled, under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RSD) in Assisted Living areas, maintaining a positive physical and social environment.
Certification in CPR and first aid preferred or as required by the state. May be a Licensed or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nursing Assistant (NA) depending on the state requirements, if licensed or certified must be in good standing with the state licensing or certifying agency. Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.
