Provides basic patient care and activities of daily living under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Performs clerical and supply-related tasks to maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment.
Provides assistance and/or performs basic activities of daily living and specified treatments and procedures under the direct supervision of the nurse.
May perform non-direct patient care activities as assigned, requested, or directed including but not limited to stocking and clerical activities.
Acute Care Techs in this position have less than 6 months clinical experience and no clinical certificate or training.
They are enrolled in the Acute Care Tech Foundations program at TriHealth.
Upon completion of the program and at 6 months for transition and competency.
At the 6 month evaluation if they demonstrate independence in all competencies for the Acute Care Tech they are moved to the Acute Care Tech I or Acute Care Tech II position if they will also add Unit Coordinator competencies to their day to day responsibilities.
2 years High School Education Age 17 with work permit Basic Life Support (BLS) Reading and math ability appropriate to the position
