• Department: Atrium East – Med/Surg - Our Atrium East unit at our Chelsea hospital cares for Medical-Surgical patients.
• Patient diagnoses can vary from medical such as:
• COPD,
• Sepsis, withdrawal,
• GI bleeds,
• CHF or
• Surgical: bariatric, Mastectomy, colorectal surgeries, hernias. This unit has 24 beds and specializes in complex high acuity medical and surgical patients with length of stay from 3-5 days.

• Purpose: Exceptional opportunity for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support our vision and serve with us as a compassionate and transforming healing presence in our community. We seek exceptional individuals from a variety of backgrounds, because diversity makes us stronger. The PCA, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care. Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
• The
• PCA assists patient in completing
• ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection. They are responsible to record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements.

• Available: Full time, benefit eligible (64 hours per pay period – every two weeks) Weekend and holiday commitments required Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or a minimum of 18 years of age. Recent experience desired.
