About the role

The nurse is responsible for providing quality care to patients during surgical interventions and pain management procedures. They also assist specialty clinic providers with patient scheduling, rooming, and maintaining medical records.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the nature and quality of care patients receive during surgical intervention and pain management procedures. Nursing intervention that assists the surgical patient in a conscious and unconscious state. Continuity of care through pre-op assessment, planning, intra-operative intervention, and post-op evaluation. Assists pain specialist with scheduling patients, rooming patients, prepping charts, taking patient's vital signs and medical history. Assists specialty clinic providers with clinic needs including, but not limited to scheduling patients, rooming patients, prepping charts, taking vitals, and obtaining patients medical history. HOURS: Full-time, 72 hours per pay period, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

RN - Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and must be licensed or eligible in the state of Iowa. Must have excellent computer skills. Operating room experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have good visual and auditory abilities. Must be able to stand and bend for extended periods. Must be able to read and handle frequent interruptions.

Requirements

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a valid license in the state of Iowa. Operating room experience is preferred, and strong computer skills are required.
